What does it mean to be a ,,real man''?
I don’t
think there really is something like a real man. Although this term is used
very commonly I find it offensive and shallow and abominably judging. Surely,
it’s natural that we dislike some people and their personality traits, but
calling someone ,,not a real man’’ is very harsh and intolerant. It’s undeniable
that some traits are more masculine than
other, but if a person lacks some of them it shouldn’t be called ,,not a real
man’’. Furthermore, this term will
always be subjective because of the variety of human preferences. In conclusion,
,,real man’’ is a popular term, nevertherless I think its’ usage is nor fair or
clever.
Fair enough. I wonder which traits are more masculine than others in your opinion?
OdpowiedzUsuńI see your point. I guess sometimes we might overuse the term ,,real man''.
